Today is the 31st of July, and it's Friday. July is almost over.

For today's music class, in theory we started learning about the major chords, minor chords, and the triads. And Mr. Hary asked us to practice reading the notes of music as we will learn this in the next and upcoming session. After learning about the notes in music, we were asked to pair up and sing the first part of 'Heal The World' in front of the class. Therefore I chose Bayu to be may partner, as a result we did quite 'okay' at singing the song.

After the fun part of watching everyone sing, it was time for us to go to our instrument class. Since we all haven't bought our own instruments yet (except Eun Hye), Mr. Harry then asked us to practice on our breathing techniques again. Then Mr. Harry explained to us about each of the instrument and how to play it. He even gave a little example of his talents in playing the flute and saxophone. Mr. Harry said that this was the first year for this instrument class, therefore he said it was okay if we find any trouble in playing it. As all of us will start from the beginning, after we each have bought our own instruments.

Today is our third meeting for music class. It's already the second week now.

In the theory class, Mr. John Lego and Mr Hary Rajasa was our theory teacher. We were all given handouts of the lyrics 'Heal The World' by Michael Jackson. We all then stood up and was asked to sing the song with the help of the music teachers.

After theory class, our class was separated into our instrument class, I went to the woodwind class with Bayu as he did not make the cut for guitar class, Eun Hye, Calista and Jean. We were all new to this class, except Eun Hye. She seems to be very good at playing the flute. All of us know nothing about flutes or saxophones. Our teacher for this particular instrument class was Mr. Harry Wisnu. As for our first instrument class lesson, Mr. Harry explained to us about the breathing techniques and told us to buy either the saxophone or flute for this class. The price of both instruments was so expensive. As for everyone except Eun Hye, we kept postponing on when to buy the instrument as it cost so much that we're afraid of buying the wrong instrument. But I think it seems kind of fun to see Mr. Harry play both the flute and saxophone as he seems to be very good at music, so it was kind of a 'push' or some kind of motivation that he gave to us.

I hope that I will try and buy the instrument as soon as possible and be able to play while enjoying the class.

Today is our second meeting for music class. It's the audition for both the guitar and piano class. And it's obvious to see that a couple of my friends in guitar class hasn't prepared much for it. There was 9 students who was auditioning for the guitar class, where only 7 can join the class. As for the piano class, there was 6 students.

It was fun to see all of the old students and new students show their talents in using either the guitar or piano. Besides the students performing one by one for the audition, the other instrument class had nothing to do but watch the one's performing.

It's already the start of the new school year.

It's a new school for me this year, which is in Binus Simprug. As for today we had our first music lesson. There were quite a few of new students in this class -- including myself. The first thing that we did in this class was to choose what instrument class we wanted to be in.

There was a variety of instruments to choose from, there was the strings which includes violin, guitar, piano and the woodwind class which includes the flute and saxophone.

For a new student I was confused at first to pick which class, and since I used to have guitar lessons in the previous years, also I don't have any talents in playing the piano and so I wanted to try something new. That is why I chose the woodwind class. There was only a few of students who chose this class, therefore there was no need for an audition for this particular instrument class unlike the guitar and piano class. In the next session, we will all see the audition for both the guitar and piano instrument class.
